Landpoint was founded in 1984 by James L. Souter in Magnolia, Arkansas, with six employees focused on commercial land surveying. Over the past four decades, the company has grown organically and through strategic acquisitions, expanding its geographic reach, capabilities, customer base, and end-market expertise.

Today, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Landpoint supports complex infrastructure projects across the United States. Our in-house professional licensure spans multiple states, while our nationwide network of trusted professional partners extends our ability to support clients and projects across additional jurisdictions.

Landpoint provides land surveying, aerial data collection, 3D laser scanning, and geographic information systems (GIS) services across the power utility, renewable energy, oil and gas, industrial, and commercial markets. We have particular expertise supporting large-scale and linear infrastructure projects, including electric transmission and distribution, renewable energy, oil and gas, water conveyance, and fiber optic networks.

With more than 40 years of experience, extensive archived project data, established operational infrastructure, and our proprietary TrueAtlas technology, Landpoint combines technical expertise, technology, and national reach to efficiently support complex projects at scale.
