Professional Licensed Surveyor (TX, LA, other)

Essential Functions

  • Calculate section control and coordinate transformations
  • Manage Crew Chief field operations.
  • Interact with clients each day.
  • Coordinate field work to Drafting department.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional license of surveying in Louisiana, Texas, and other states.
  • Experience with Carlson 2008, AutoCAD, and ForeSite.

Draftsman

Essential Functions

  • Job Calculation (Reviewing of field crew notes).

Human Resources Generalist

Essential Functions

  • Conducting recruitment efforts for all employees; conducting new-employee orientations; create and place advertising.
  • Daily interaction with field employees to insure open line of communication is maintained and to assist Operations Team in addressing issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise
  • Administering leave of absence programs (FMLA, medical, personal, and military) to ensure compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
  • Working with third party company to ensure compliance with worker’s compensation regulations
  • Performing benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
  • Administering Human Resource plans and procedures in compliance with Corporate direction; assisting in development and implementation of local HR policies and procedures and maintaining the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Conducting exit interviews and documentation for terminating employees
  • Maintaining HR Information Systems records and compile reports from database
  • Back-up support for payroll
  • Performing other related duties as required and assigned to support local management in achieving production and customer satisfaction objectives

Desired Qualifications

  • A BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two (2) years of applicable experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience applying knowledge of local, state, and federal labor/employment laws and regulations regarding employment decisions such as hiring, discipline, termination, workers compensation, leave administration, benefits and compensation.
  • Ability to work independently.
    Previous payroll experience preferably using Kronos timekeeping and ADP.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple functions.
IT Technician

Essential Functions

  • Update / manage workstations and servers daily.
  • Travel to different office locations making network / workstation repairs and upgrades.
  • Report to IT Director daily with problems and solutions.
  • Implement new IT software and hardware.

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of software / hardware installation.
  • 4 years of experience in IT administration.
  • Advanced Networking Techniques including VPN, wireless LAN administration, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and more.
  • Some programming experience (HTML, ASP, VB, PHP) as well as SQL Server knowledge.
Crew Chief

Essential Functions

  • Calculating Latitude / Longitude and elevation.
  • Documenting field work and taking notes for the Drafting department.
  • Coordinating with Rodmen and clients to complete daily tasks.

Desired Qualifications

  • GPS / Conventional surveying unit experience.

Essential Functions

  • Travel with your crew to complete tasks.
  • Completing daily office tasks before and after job completion.
