Technologies

Conventional Surveying

We utilize the latest Leica Total Station conventional, reflectorless units with accuracies ranging from 1 to 5 seconds depending on the project requirements. In addition to traditional conventional equipment we utilize Leica robotic stations for increased range, speed, and accuracy.

GNSS Technology

Landpoint uses GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) which leverages the use of GPS and GLONASS technology for cadastral, topographic, control, stakeout, and other precision survey applications. Using this state of the art equipment provides our surveyors with enhanced satellite coverage.

Leica Smartnet

The Leica RTK network allows for real time GNSS corrections to be used in place of the traditional Base / Rover setup. The network reduces the investment cost on surveying companies by 50%, increases time savings on all projects, and provides greater accuracy which eliminates the need for benchmarking in most areas. Landpoint is a contributing member in the Leica Smartnet, providing operable stations in the network.

3D Laser Scanning and Modeling

Our (HDS) High Definition Scanning platform represents the most capabilities packed into a single laser scanner instrument. We have leveraged new hardware and software technology to compete with the prices of even the most basic conventional surveys, allowing our surveyors to acquire an extensive amount of data for a fraction of the cost. From complex refinery piping systems to historic building documentation, our 3D scanning system can make quick work of versatile, accurate modeling at over 50,000 points per second. Deliverables include virtual walkthroughs, 3D modeling, 3D animations, demolition plans, asset management, deformation analysis, and marketing proposals for design and engineering projects.

GIS (Geographical Information Systems)

The ESRI ArcGIS suite is the core software architecture behind our system of databases, each customized for our clients in many different industries. Incorporating our accurate datasets into a GIS is simple and fast. Once we have collected the target data and created a GIS database, we offer online map hosting for public or private access. Our services include land cover mapping, utility mapping, tax parcel mapping - preparing data for computer assisted mass appraisal systems, road network mapping for street navigation systems, street centerline mapping, contour digitization for terrain analysis, orthophotography rectification, flood insurance rate mapping, soil and land use for agriculture, wetlands, airport, highway and rail mapping.
